About

About image tools

Image jobs usually fall into three groups: changing the format, changing the size, and changing the picture itself. Format tools such as JPG to PNG, PNG to WEBP and HEIC to JPG fix compatibility problems or make files lighter. If you do not want to pick a dedicated pair, the Image Format Converter handles JPG, PNG and WebP in one place.

Size tools are for web pages, email and forms with strict limits. The Image Compressor trades quality for file size with a slider, while the Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions. Compress when the dimensions are already right and the file is too heavy. Resize when the picture is simply larger than the space it needs to fill. Editing tools such as crop, rotate, blur, sharpen and watermark change what the picture looks like, and utilities like the EXIF Remover clean up a photo before you share it.

Everything on this page runs in your browser, so your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to a server. Results depend on your device, and very large images may take a moment. Download the result and keep the original, because lossy formats like JPG lose detail each time you save them.

FAQ

Questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The image tools process files inside your browser, so the picture stays on your device. You only need an internet connection to load the page itself.

Should I compress or resize an image first?

Resize first if the image has more pixels than you need, because that usually saves the most space. Then compress to fine tune the file size. If the dimensions are already correct, compressing alone is enough.

Why does my photo from an iPhone not open on some sites?

iPhones often save photos as HEIC, which many websites and older programs cannot read. Converting it with the HEIC to JPG tool gives you a file that opens almost anywhere.
